At one time Spirit Slates were an extremely popular magician's prop for mental or magic effects. Writing, drawings or ghostly images were made to appear on a signed slate or pair of slates. Unfortunately slates are no longer the common every-day item familiar to all students, and much of the modern generation has never seen one. To them a slate is as queer an object as any other special magician's prop.
This model appears like a more familiar pocket size mirror (4 1/2" x 3 1/2") of the sort one would find in a gent's shaving kit, or a lady's handbag, and is designed to produce effects similar to those performed with a Spirit Slate.
In effect a pocket mirror is shown and signed or marked on both sides by a spectator.
Phantom Reflections
A reflection subsequently appears in the mirror under the signature, which could be a word, number, drawing or ghostly image. This could be in the form of a prediction or as a demonstration of thought transference, as a spectator concentrates on a particular image or card.
The spectator can also see his own reflection along with the image and this adds to the visual impact of the illusion.
Comes complete with all required apparatus and instructions on handling including a special glass marking pencil and one "ghost image", which you can easily replace with any other of your choice.
Flaming Silk/Ball Production Casket
This is a miniature metal casket the audience can see right through from three sides. Light a match, and the inside of the casket bursts into flames. Instantly the flames go off, and a sponge ball or silk handkerchief can be made to visibly appear in the casket.
We supply you the powder coated metal casket, sturdily constructed to last as long as you care to use it, and appropriate for the "fire" feature. You would need to use lighter fuel for the fire. You could also use it without the fire, and have a ball or silk visibly and instantly appear in the empty casket.
This Production Casket is ideal for use in a sponge ball or silk routine, where the ball or silks are vanished, and reappear visibly in the box. Alternately, you can produce a silk or ball, then proceed to perform some other routine - like a sponge ball routine, or a silk effect.
It's a Paddle trick with a difference. A paddle has three plastic covers which slide over it, obscuring the body of the paddle from view. Each cover has a large coloured spot on each side, one has two green spots, one two red spots and one two yellow ones. The magician pulls the covers off, one at a time, during this he shows both sides of the paddle to be quite blank. The three covers now lie before him on the table.
The cover 'with the two red spots' is lifted up and slid over the paddle to the central position. It is shown on both sides. Next, the cover 'with the two yellow spots' is placed on the paddle. Again, it is shown on both sides.
The remaining cover which has two green spots on it, is picked up and freely shown on both sides. It is slid onto the bottom and again the paddle, now with the three covers in correct alignment, is shown on both sides.
"Now", says the magician, "watch the spots jump". Suddenly, with a flick of the wrist, it is seen that two of the spots have vanished from the covers, only the green ones remain. Magician pulls off the first cover. Now, this is shown blank on both sides and underneath it on the paddle are the coloured spots. Apparently

Miser's Dream Glass
The glass where a coin dropped in the glass can be secretly and instantly extracted is an old and standard magic prop. This is an opaque stainless steel version of the prop, (unbreakable, and maintenance free !) that will enable you to perform a novel Miser's Dream effect, or vanish a marked borrowed coin for re-production from another suitable prop.
Produce an endless supply of coins from thin air, and drop them into the glass, - the audience can see each coin drop, and hear it fall. Then dump them out, or vanish them all.
Or have a marked borrowed coin dropped into the glass, and reproduce it from some place else. A very reasonably priced utility prop, which can be used under all performing conditions. Or maybe, if you prefer being a practical joker to a magician, this makes a very deceptive dribble glass !!!
Card through Borrowed Bill
Performer freely displays a playing card and a PVC (plastic) folder to the spectators. He borrows a currency note or bill and folds it along its long edge, with one half a little wider than the other as in the illustration. He places the folded bill inside the folder with the ends projecting on both sides, and visible at all times.
He now inserts a corner of the card inside the folded bill and pushes it. The corner projects out from the top of the folder apparently penetrating right through the bill. The folder and bill are freely displayed with the card clearly penetrating through the bill. He then pushes the complete card through the bill, and out from the top of the folder.
He takes the bill from the folder and show it completely unharmed. He returns the bill to its owner who can examine it thoroughly. A very convincing penetration illusion, at an unbelievably low price. If we priced our magic for the effect, this would be worth at least 10 times what we charge. Complete with card, folder and detailed instructions. Use any borrowed bill.
Panel Escape - Acrylic
Magician shows three different colored Panels, with a hole in them, and a length of Ribbon. A spectator selects any color, which is placed between the other two, and the Ribbon threaded through the center of the Panels. Magician spreads the Panels to show Ribbon passes through them, puts them together, and places a Rubber band around the Panels. The Ribbon is pulled to and fro to show it passes through the Panels.
The ends of the Ribbon are now held together, and given a jerk. The selected Panel comes right off the Ribbon, leaving the other two threaded in place. Everything can be thoroughly examined with not a clue as to how the Panel penetrated right off the Ribbon.
This is the same as our Platter Escape, introduced several years ago, but made with bright acrylic panels. You can pick up the moves with a few handling trials, and you have a very clean and convincing mystery, where all the props can be examined, before and after. Highly recommended.
(Low Price - good quality Gift or Promotional Item)Another excellent magic effect that has been overexposed, causing magicians to shy away. A matchstick, tube or wand hooked on a pin penetrates right through the arm of the pin when pushed through. An effect the audience can do, without figuring out how it happens.
We have now produced a large model of this, with a 4" long Magic Wand and a large Safety Pin, that looks good, works well, and is an excellent Promotional Item or Gift at the low price. And if you remove the pin, you have an attractive close-up Magic Wand, worth more than the price we charge ! Get one for your collection, or buy them by the dozen, and save !
Wand through Pin
This is a very novel effect which you can carry in your pocket, and perform any time for an audience of one or many. You display an envelope with a transparent front, to resemble a wooden cabinet with a glass front. A picture of a lady (which can be examined if you wish) is placed in the cabinet (envelope), and entirely visible at all times.
You now pretend to Hypnotize the lady for some bloodless surgery, and pretend to chop off her head, which is removed and displayed. This is then replaced in the "cabinet", the lady de-hypnotized, and removed from the cabinet, fully restored.
A very economical item with a novel effect, this is durably made in heavy board, offset printed in full colour and laminated for durability. Recommended as good magic, and value for the money.
Pocket Beheaded Lady Illusion
they have penetrated right through onto the paddle. The second cover is removed. This is blank and it is seen that the red spots have penetrated through and are now one on each side of the paddle:.
The remaining cover still has the green spot in position. Apparently the green spots wont penetrate. The magician removes it and places it aside. Then, as an afterthought, he decides to once again try to cause the green spots to also penetrate. Again, he shows the cover with the green spots, sliding this onto the paddle. Once again, a flick of the wrist and - surprise: - the paddle is blank and all three coloured spots have appeared on each side of the small cover. A tremendous off-beat finish. Indeed the spots have jumped but they have jumped all on to one cover:
The creation of Ian Adair, and manufactured and marketed by permission with his original routine, this model of Paddle Waggle is handsomely crafted from Acrylic, with plastic covers, and comes to you complete with routine, ready to use.
Effect :- The performer shows a small fold-flat rectangular tube, (which can be examined). The tube is placed on a slim tray which has been freely shown all around, and when lifted away, an Aquarium almost as large as the tube, complete with plants and fish appears on the tray. A quick and colorful production of a very novel type.
While the effect is not new, (we have a similar effect in our range for many years), this method is completely new and different. It has the added advantages that no Silks or
Aquarium Production - Nu-way
Foulards are involved for the production, and there are no additional moves involved in the production. It is ideal for one man use. The props are also much more compact and sturdy for the performer to carry.
The apparatus supplied comprises of the very special tray (with the "spring" Aquarium built in), and the collapsible rectangular tube. You can put this in your act minutes after you get it - so easy it almost works itself ! The "Aquarium" is a simulated one, and needs no real water or fish. Complete with all requirements, and full instructions. An original Funtime product.

Effect : A borrowed finger ring vanishes from the performer's hand and appears hooked to a link or clip in a Key Case in the performer's hip pocket.
First described by Al Koran in his book Professional Presentations the effect is something of a classic, appealing to many performers as a visual and direct bit of chicanery, involving intimate audience participation. Several commercial models have appeared in the market, under the original name, or names such as Ring Flite, and variations thereof.
Our justification for "another" model are what we believe are minor steps forward, from what we have seen, and a very affordable price that empowers many more magicians to put this magic Key Case in their hip pocket !
You can use this prop without the need to conceal the gimmick behind a lot of keys. That is because the gimmick is perfectly concealed inside the Key Case, in

a special compartment, not just stuck in. You require no extra or duplicate cases, and you can display the Key Case very freely, before and after.
You don't have to wear a jacket to perform this. In fact the handling of the prop we offer requires no prior set up at all. The Key Case supplied is custom made for this prop.
We offer you two models of this item. The regular model is made from PU imitation Leather, and cheaper than the Deluxe real leather model. Both are identical in construction and working, and supplied complete with detailed instructions.
A Dove visibly appears in a Crystal Casket which the audience can see right through from all sides.
Instead of a Dove you could also have the casket visibly fill up with flowers, silks, sponge balls, or any other production items. Obviously, the use of a live Dove is most effective.
The apparatus supplied comprises of the special casket, which the audience can see right through from all sides, yet the load is self contained in the casket. This is completely new and different, the creation of Magician Vaskar Roychoudhuri of Calcutta, and if you like a quick visual and impressive production which can be performed under virtually any conditions, from close-up to stage, you'll like this.

Flash Silk Die " Happy Birthday"
The performer displays a black (approx. 18" silk), printed with a design in white, (like a photograph negative). The silk is displayed clearly and completely on both sides, stretched flat between the hands.
He now asks a volunteer spectator, (the Birthday child, for the Happy Birthday Silk design) to toss up some colored confetti into the air, to help color the silk. The performer shakes the silk in the cascading confetti, and the silks is found to be completely colored in many bright attractive colors. It is again displayed clearly, stretched flat between the hands on both sides.
The effect can also be performed in reverse, though it would be a rare routine that requires all the pretty colors to vanish - this works just like our Chameleon Rainbow & Flag Streamers, with a picture silk. Complete and ready to use, with instructions.
