Butterfly Puzzle
A most intriguing optical illusion. This is an adaptation of the Over/Under or Banana / Boomerang Puzzle, with a most amusing presentation theme, from the fertile mind of Ian Adair.
Performer displays two curved boomerang shaped pieces, one with a green caterpillar, and one with a red one. The piece with the caterpillar at the bottom is obviously longer, but the performer says they are for ever growing longer. When the shorter caterpillar on top is “stretched” and transferred below the longer one, it now appears longer !
This is repeated as often as you like. Then you say, when caterpillars really grow up, they all change the same, and turn the pieces over, and there is a very beautiful butterfly formed with the two pieces, and every one can see both pieces are now exactly the same size.

The Educated Duck
The Educated Duck is a mechanical wooden duck, which picks out selected cards from a shuffled deck, placed in its feed box.. This is an excellent comedy prop, and to enhance the entertainment the duck can be "blindfolded" and you can have him choose the wrong card, then remove the blindfold and he will pick out the right card. You can use it for a variety of routines, with alphabet or number cards, picture cards, or even a vent type question answer routine.

Mystic Spinning Rings
The magician talks about the famous "Bottle and Glass" trick, showing two cylinders, one bottle and one glass. The bottle and the glass are covered with the cylinders and the Passe Passe Glass and Bottle is performed where the Bottle and the Glass repeatedly change places. This classic prop can be used to obtain many comedy effects and gives the performer an item to use in an audience participation act. The performer produces a fan and proceeds to fan some item, explaining that it must be fanned in order to operate properly. He then hands the fan to the "victim" selected from the audience, and tells him to be sure to keep fanning. As the spectator takes the fan and attempts to open it, the fan opens up into separate segments and the spectator finds it impossible to do anything with it. The more he turns the fan the more it becomes confused. The performer then takes it and with a few twists it again becomes normal. However when ever any one else attempts to use it, the fan falls apart again.

The Die Box is one of the classics of magic - and this miniature version uses a die only 1" in size, ( see the size in comparison to a normal match box !) but has all the features of its "bigger brother" at less than one twentieth the price !
The performer displays a solid die and an empty box with two compartments. The die is placed in one compartment, the doors closed, and when opened, the die is seen to have vanished. The audience is not impressed - they have heard the die slide to the adjacent compartment. This is repeated over and over, till the performer opens all doors, to show the die has indeed vanished from the box, only to re-appear in the performer's pocket, or some place else.

He now states that he will make the complete image of a selected card fly from a deck to the packet of four cards. A spectator selects a card from a deck. We will presume this is the 7 of Spades. The card is replaced in the deck, and the deck riffled towards the packet.
The Four Jumbo Cards are again fanned, and it is now found that the Jumbo Card with the Ace to King of Spades has turned back up in the packet. When this card is turned over to face the audience, it has magically changed to a large 7 of Spades.
